The Porch on Long Creek: A Scenic Dining Experience in Virginia Beach

We had dinner tonight at The Porch on Long Creek located just off Greatneck Road in the heart of Virginia Beach. They were busy but we got lucky by walking in just as a couple got up to leave from their seats at the bar. This was the food bar overlooking the kitchen area. It’s the best show in town, watching all of the professional chefs do their thing! Our server was Sabrina and she was prompt, courteous and friendly. She definitely made our night special. She several recommendations and we tried some of them (you can’t eat everything) every dish was a WINNER! Our food came out quickly considering how busy they were tonight. The pictures do not do the food justice, everything was incredible! We are already planning our next visit here and hope Sabrina will be our server!

Good comfortable seating, exceptional view to the harbor, classic beach vibe, food on the spot, starting withe the she crab soup, followed with Shrimp and grits and a side of tasty Brussels sprouts. To finish a pistachio cake with a good texture and not too sweet.

The view was beautiful, the staff was amazing. The menu selection is reasonable but if you are looking for variety may work or not for you.

The Porch at Long Creek is a wonderful place to watch the sunset and one of my favorite spots in Virginia Beach. The setting right on the Lynnhaven River is beautiful, and the atmosphere is relaxed but lively. They have a great bar with delicious drinks, and the food is always on point. My favorite dishes are the flatbread and their sushi both are consistently excellent. It’s definitely a local favorite, perfectly located right down the water from Chick’s Back Deck and Bubba’s. Great vibes, great views, great food. Highly recommend The Porch if you’re looking for a classic Virginia Beach waterfront experience.

A nice place. Lots of seats- indoor and out. The service was great and the food was good as well. I didn't find there to be a variety of food offered though. **Food Mood note: Caesar salad is my go to plate. It could have used more dressing. The dish was expensive and lacked flavor. I prefer a Caesar salad to have shaved parmasan cheese rather than grated.

I came last week on my birthday & it’s a very nice place with very good food! We got the lobster tacos & crab meat rolls! Then I got the filet mignon with mash potatoes and asparagus & my husband got the crab cake sandwich and everything was a 10! Will definitely go again!

We had a wonderful experience. Our server, Alyssa, was absolutely wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious. We will definitely return again.

We had the most amazing dinner here. We came on a Tuesday night maybe 30 min. before sunset. We were seated right away outside right next to the water. We could not have had a better view of the setting sun. We started with the she-crab soup which was some of the best I've ever had. I ordered the beet and fried goat cheese salad with chicken for my main meal. It was outstanding. I could eat that every day and not get sick of it. Plus the chicken was cooked to perfection: juicy and tender. My boyfriend ordered the French Dip au Jus and fries which was delicious. The prime rib was top-notch. I wanted to order the pistachio cake for dessert but was just too full. Our server was a doll-I sadly don't remember her name but she was very good. She cleared our dirty dishes and checked in on us enough to make sure everything was good.
